The nutrients of the famous "food of the gods", the "black diamond of the earth", the truffle, are many. And they fully justify her name. Truffle in Latin means food for kings!
The rare species of underground mushroom, the truffle, coexists with specific roots of trees or shrubs, and grows in their roots. It has such a natural cultivation that it goes beyond that of the organic one! Its ingredients are mainly water and minerals provided by the tree that hosts it. Its growth is usually underground and thus manages to maintain its color, taste and especially its aroma. In this way, too, it manages to protect itself from the fires, droughts and frosts that threaten our forests.
Extra tip: You can grate (or cut into thin strips with a knife) a small amount on your plate when serving. Try it with thin spaghetti and mizithra cheese. A small amount is enough for a whole plate!
