HISTORY "FROM GOLD" BEHIND THE PRODUCT
The salt, which together with the olive oil claims the title of the "gold" of the earth, historically has the roots of its birth, almost synchronized with the birth of the human species. "YOU are the salt of the earth," Jesus told his disciples. (Matthew 5:13). In Chinese papyrus, in 2700 BC. we find the first recipe for salt while in historical reports we learn that the Egyptians used it as a basic ingredient for embalming the dead. The Romans, in their exchange society, used it as a salary for the legionnaires, using the word sal they coined from an anagram of the word alas (<salt, salt). Thus came the English word "salary" and the word "sales".
