HISTORY "FROM GOLD" BEHIND THE PRODUCT
The abduction of Europe from the eternally in love Zeus may be the most famous kidnap of antiquity. It has been represented in statues, mosaics, paintings and even on the 2 euro coin! However, it also marked the beginning of the history of Thassos as the Phoenicians, who could not accept to lose their Europe, organized a campaign led by Kadmos and Thassos. Thassos, in his search, visited Thassos and was enchanted by the green beauty of the island with its blue waters. So he stayed there for the rest of his life. In honor of the first inhabitant, the island was named "Thassos"!
